Why This Book
Over years of clinical practice, Victoria noticed that most couples weren't struggling because they lacked love for one another — they were struggling because they lacked understanding. Mental health challenges create confusion, frustration, fear, and distance between partners who genuinely want to support each other.
Personal experience taught Victoria that relationships have a unique way of exposing the fears, insecurities, and patterns we carry long before we meet our spouse. Through those experiences, she came to believe that healing is not only possible — it is essential for healthy, thriving relationships.
Too often, conversations about mental illness and marriage exist in separate worlds. Some resources focus solely on spiritual solutions; others overlook the important role faith plays in healing and resilience. Victoria believes both matter — and wrote this book to bridge that gap.
My hope is that readers will find understanding, practical guidance, and encouragement as they navigate the realities of mental illness, marriage, and emotional healing. Most importantly, I hope they discover that they are not alone, that they are not beyond hope, and that healing hearts and minds is possible.
Marriage is often the meeting place of two healing journeys — and with God's help, those journeys can lead to growth, restoration, and deeper connection.
